New Cycle Rides for Summer 2013!
Three exciting new rides will take place on 11th August 2013 that will form part of the Bike for Bobby Cycle Sportive.
Riders can choose from a selection of 3 distances including a 40 mile, 70 mile & a full distance 125 mile cycle challenge that will start from outside St James’ Park, home of Newcastle United and will head off on beautiful routes through Northumberland.
Entry fees start from £23 and will include comprehensively marked routes, mechanical assistance, first aid, feed stations and electronic chip timing and finishers t-shirt. All riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
With the 3 distances on offer, this will be the perfect event for the seasoned sportive regular and a great introduction for newcomers yet to enter their first cyclosportive.
40 mile route. This will be a great route for newcomers entering their first cyclo-sportive or for younger riders wishing to take part in the Bike for Bobby event. More info to follow
70 mile route. Heading out further into Northumberland, this will suit those cyclists who are after more of a challenge, but still want to be home in time for tea! A beautiful course that will meander through the quiet roads of Northumberland. More info to follow
125 mile route. The monster of all sportive rides! You’ll be heading to Scotland and back on the full distance ride & this is your opportunity to test yourself at the average daily mileage that Robbie & Phil had to cover every day for 25 days! A good level of fitness and riding experience will be required for this distance. More info to follow.
